What engines make the Charger a steal and the world's most powerful sedan?

Under the hood of the Charger comes a choice of engine options that allow you to taper the sedan to a decent performance with good fuel economy towards a track-ready SRT tuned speedster. Coming standard at the lower trim levels is a solid 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine that is capable of pushing out 300 horsepower (hp) and 264 lb-ft of torque. This engine, paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission, offers the best of the set in terms of fuel economy, with a city/highway rating of 19/30 mpg. Looking at the R/T trim model, Dodge works in its first of 3 different power-producing V8 engines offered with the Charger, bringing in a 5.7-liter V8 that pushes out 370 hp and 395 lb-ft of torque. With the Scat Pack trim, you will find an even more potent 6.4-liter V8 that can produce 485 hp and 475 lb-ft of torque. Sitting at the top of the powertrain thrown is Dodge's SRT tuned engine, the 6.2-liter supercharged V8 that churns out a massive 707 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque.

How are the trim models organized with features?

The Charger itself is broken down into five different trim models, each one comprised of its own distinct set of features. Starting off as the starting base trim, the Charger SXT brings in features such as keyless entry with a push-button start, automatic headlights with LED daytime running lights, power-adjustable front seats with lumbar support, and a Uconnect 4 infotainment system housed on a 7-inch touchscreen display. If you end up selecting the SXT model with an all-wheel-drive configuration, you also add in a few additional features such as dual-zone automatic climate control and an auto-dimming rearview mirror. The GT trim model brings in additional features and enhancements, such as a performance-cloth interior upholstery, an enhanced suspension, larger 20-inch wheels, projector LED fog lamps, a universal garage door opener, and additional interior LED lights. The R/T, Scat Pack, and SRT trim models build off a very similar feature kit to that of the GT trim model but include tuned powertrain systems to handle the higher power output of the V8 engines they equip.

What are some of the key safety aspects about the Charger?

Dodge works diligently to ensure that the vehicles they design are outfitted to be top performers as well as have top safety marks in their respective classes. The Dodge Charger comes out of the gate with over 80 different safety/security features offered. The core airbag system is impressive, with multistage front airbags and supplemental side-seat and side-curtain airbags spread throughout the interior. We also see an advanced electronic stability control system in place with brake assist as well as a Parkview rearview camera, tire-pressure monitoring, constant-force retractors, and hill-start assist offered with every model. Dodge also offers a number of driver aids with the Charger, including blind-spot monitoring, a full-speed forward-collision warning system that activates emergency brakes automatically, lane departure warning, and an advanced adaptive cruise control system.

The 2020 Charger is the most powerful and fastest mass-produced sedan that has ever been designed; the powertrain kit, especially with the SRT tuned systems, gives a blazing rush of acceleration that you will feel when you push the Charger to its limits.
