To learn more about this all-new pickup truck, keep reading down below as we go through the features that we know will excite you the most!

How does the Gladiator keep an authentic Jeep design?

One quick glance at the Gladiator and its Jeep heritage can immediately be recognized. This is thanks to the addition of the seven-slot grille that has become synonymous with the Wrangler model. The only changes here are the grille slots that have been widened, in order for additional air intake to help increase the towing capacity. There is also a change to the top of the grille, which is pushed back in order to give better aerodynamics. Continuing on, the Overland and Rubicon models come with LED fog lamps and headlamps, which while adding a modern look, only further emphasize the rest of the front. Moving from the front to the rear, traditional square tail lamps are standard, and they even feature available LED lighting. The bed is unobstructed, which makes it easier to load cargo in, which is thanks to the wide tailgate opening. Another perk of the tailgate is that it can stop in three different positions, and it is power-locking. You'll never have to worry about your cargo flying out the back. Jeep doesn't stop there! The Gladiator features clever versatility, including under-rail bed lighting, integrated tie-downs, and even an available covered external power source! There is no stopping the Gladiator, and there is no ignoring how quintessentially Jeep this truck is.

What engine options will I find with the Gladiator?

Buying a pickup truck, especially one with the Jeep emblem, means you're looking for power and off-roading capabilities. Jeep understands the draw to their vehicles, and why people keep coming back. For that reason, the 2020 Gladiator comes standard with the well-loved 3.6-liter Pentastar V6. This engine can deliver 285 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque. Not only does this engine come with Engine Stop/Start, but it also comes standard with a six-speed manual transmission. You can opt for the eight-speed automatic if that fits your driving needs. The other available engine, which will be available in 2020, is the EcoDiesel 3.0-liter V6. This engine can get you up to 442 lb-ft of torque and 260 horsepower, while also featuring ESS. Instead of coming standard with the six-speed manual, you'll be getting the eight-speed automatic transmission.

What kind of utility does the Gladiator have?

It can already be safely assumed that the Gladiator is going to have more utility than any other truck in the segment. The rugged body-on-frame design is the perfect place to start, especially as it features a five-link suspension system that helps to deliver capability and towing capacity. But what comprises the body-on-frame design? Jeep uses advanced materials and engineers them to be stiff, durable, and lightweight. The bed positioning alone, near the center aft of the rear axle, offers better weight distribution, a comfortable ride. In order to protect any of the critical components while on the trail, the Gladiator features four skid plates and bars, which will protect your fuel tank and transfer case. If you're wondering why lightweight materials matter, it allows the Gladiator to glide easily over rough terrain while boosting the fuel economy. If you're looking for specifics about the utility, this truck has a breakover angle of 20.3 degrees, a ground clearance of 11.1 inches, and an approach angle of 43.6 degrees. You can even ford up to 30-inches of water!

We know the anticipation of the Gladiator only increases with every passing day, and while the Gladiator isn't at dealerships yet, the wait will be over before we know it. Until then, we hope you'll check out the rest of our new Jeep inventory. Any off-roading enthusiast knows that there's nothing like a Jeep.
