2020 Ram 1500 vs Ford F-150

Buying your next truck doesn't have to be a stressful process that takes longer than you wanted. At Marburger CDJR, we have narrowed down the truck options out there to two of the top performers on the market today. These two trucks include the 2020 Ram 1500 and the 2020 Ford F-150. The Ram 1500 makes its mark by adding in an EcoDiesel engine, an available Rebel Safety Group package with adaptive cruise control, available class-exclusive air suspension, and a Uconnect infotainment system. The F-150 tries to keep up by expanding which trims can get a diesel engine, and by making Co-Pilot360 advanced driver-assist suite standard on more of the trim levels. Ready to learn more? 2020 Ram 1500 Power & Handling

One thing that is guaranteed when you get a Ram 1500 is that the engine under the hood is going to be reliable and fun to work with. There are three different engines here, all of which get an eight-speed automatic transmission and the option between 2WD and 4WD. The first engine in this lineup is a 3.6-liter V6, which produces 305 hp and up to 269 lb-ft of torque. Another engine worth looking at is the new turbodiesel 3.0-liter V6, which can produce 480 lb-ft of torque and 260 hp. The last engine available with the 1500 is a 5.7-liter V8, which offers 410 lb-ft of torque and up to 395 hp.

2020 Ford F-150 Power & Handling

The Ford F-150 attempts to keep up with the Ram 1500 by showing off its own engine lineup. There are quite a few engines here, although we're still attached to the engines that you'll find with the 1500. With the F-150, you can find engines like a 3.3-liter V6, a 2.7-liter twin-turbocharged V6, and even a 3.0-liter turbodiesel V6. One of the higher engines, a 5.0-liter V8, produces 400 lb-ft of torque and 395 hp. Two-wheel and four-wheel drive are both available, and a ten-speed automatic transmission comes with most of the engines.

2020 Ram 1500 Features & Design

Another aspect of the Ram 1500 that we really love is the trim lineup, especially due to all of the features that you will be able to find throughout. The base trim, Tradesman, gets a rearview camera, keyless entry, air conditioning, a 5-inch touchscreen, power locks and windows, and a Uconnect 3 system. Other features that you might want to consider include fog lights, a fully dampened tailgate, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, a nine-speaker Alpine audio system, premium leather seating, LED headlights, and front and rear parking sensors.

2020 Ford F-150 Features & Design

When it comes to the trim level lineup, Ford doesn't slouch, though it still seems to fall short with the standard and available features. Standard features include wiper-activated automatic headlights, automatic emergency braking, a 40/20/40-cloth front seat, air conditioning, and 17-inch steel wheels. Some available features include heated mirrors, fog lights, leather seating, remote tailgate release, chrome bumpers, adaptive cruise control, and a Terrain management system.

Now that you've seen it all, it's easy to say that the 2020 Ram 1500 is a pickup truck that can do it all. Not only do you get reliable engines, but you get the kind of features you need for daily-living. Are you ready to get behind the wheel of the Ram 1500?
