Jeep continues to use the turbocharged 1.3-liter inline-four-cylinder engine for the 2023 Jeep Renegade. This engine provides a stellar balance between performance and fuel efficiency. The 1.3L engine delivers 177 horsepower and an impressive 210 lb-ft of torque. This power is sent to the wheels through a nine-speed automatic transmission. Although previously available for the entry-level Latitude trim, Active Drive 4x4 is now standard equipment. This intelligent 4x4 system uses a disconnecting rear axle and Power Transfer Unit to automatically shift into and out of four-wheel drive based on changes in the road conditions. Additionally, the Limited trim is eligible for the High Altitude package, adding stylish 19-inch Granite Crystal alloy wheels, Gloss Black badges, and Neutral Grey grille rings. Also available for the Limited trim is the Elite Group, adding automatic high beam assist, parallel/perpendicular park assist, front/rear parking sensors, windshield wiper de-icer, and full LED exterior lighting. The Trailhawk is also eligible for the Limited Elite Group and adds leather trimmed seating, an 8-way power driver's seat, and heated front seats/steering wheel. Other new available features include Detonator Yellow exterior paint and adaptive cruise control as standard equipment for the Limited trim.
