At Marburger Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram, we make sure that we can help assist everyone in the Gastonia, Hickory, and Shely areas. You all deserve the best of the best, and we're ready to give you not only the best inventory of Ram trucks around, but a reliable service center that you can always trust. Our service center is actually what brings us here today! We wanted to go over with you some of the key services you should be having performed on your Ram 1500. It's also worth noting that the schedule that we're going to be offering up to you is more generalized, and you should always consult one of our service technicians and your owner's manual. Everyone is going to have a varying kind of schedule depending on how much you are driving your Ram 1500. Keep reading below for a suggested service schedule!

10,000 miles

The first major interval that we want to discuss with you today is what you should be doing every 10,000 miles, or at least every single year. We highly recommend things like getting the engine oil and oil filter changed, a tire rotation, an inspection for the brakes including the brake linings, a look at the front suspension, and a check of all of the different fluid levels. This is also an excellent time to take a closer look at your tires and make sure that not only do they have enough tread to remain safe, but that they are properly inflated to the correct PSI. Our service technicians will be here to lend their expertise and diagnose issues before they get out of hand.

20,000 miles

What's up next? When you are scheduling your next service, we recommend getting one done at 20,000 miles, or around every 2 years. Not only will you get all of the service done that we've mentioned previously, but you should also consider having certain things replaced in your Ram 1500, such as an air conditioning filter, spark plugs, and the engine air cleaner filter. You should also have boot seals, tie rod ends, and the front suspension looked over for any potential cracks or leaks that could be found.

80,000 miles

The service schedule isn't complete just yet until we've reached 80,000 miles. The maintenance done so far has worked well to keep your Ram 1500 on the road for as long as possible. That's why we want to continue to make sure you are having certain aspects of your truck inspected, such as the overall engine to ensure that there are no cracks, leaks, or overall performance issues. You'll want to have the engine coolant flushed and replaced soon, too, whether that be right now or at the next service. You won't want the CV joints to be ignored at this point, and the exhaust system should be inspected, too.
